May 2018 witnessed an all-time high number of users, sessions and page views on our website chestertons.gi.

Fuelled by the hugely successful public launch of EuroCity on May 8th, our statistics show a 3% increase in website users, 4% page views and 2% sessions over the previous best month in January 2017. Against the comparable month last year, the site statistics outperformed May 2017 by a staggering 56%, 69% and 38% respectively.

On a calendar year to date basis the site has outperformed January to May 2017 by 8%, 14%, 8% on the main three metrics.

In May alone, Chestertons.gi website was accessed from users in 82 different countries, including China, New Zealand, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Malawi, Fiji and Kenya. In the first five months of this year that number increases to 129 as we add users from countries like Vietnam, Paraguay and Tajikstan.

“These website stats once again demonstrate the success of our marketing across the globe. We don’t just say we reach an international audience, we prove it, month by month” said Mike Nicholls, managing director of Chestertons in Gibraltar. “The growth in the number of users is a positive for our own business in Gibraltar, where vendors and landlords want their properties to reach the widest possible audience, and a positive for Gibraltar PLC as we seek to attract wealth and talent from across the globe.”

Furthermore, the number of users and sessions in the first 5 months of this year were 52% and 53% above the equivalent period in 2016, ie the 5 preceding months leading to the EU referendum in June 2016. “If anyone thought the referendum result would lead to reducing interest in Gibraltar’s property market, then they are wrong” continued Nicholls. “The interest has increased, the website stats continue to increase and this current year may well turn our to be a record year for us. That’s a sign of a strong company in a strong economy”.
