Save the Date! MedSteps5 Challenge Returns on 8th May 2027 – Registration Opens 2nd November

Get your trainers ready and mark your calendars! The MedSteps5 Challenge is back on Saturday 8th May 2027, bringing Gibraltar's community together once again for an incredible day of fitness, determination and fundraising in support of Cancer Relief Gibraltar.

Chestertons is delighted to continue its longstanding support of this much-loved annual event and is encouraging participants to register early to avoid disappointment.

A Challenge That Makes a Difference

The MedSteps5 Challenge has become a firm favourite in Gibraltar's fundraising calendar, encouraging participants of all ages and fitness levels to take on the iconic Mediterranean Steps, whether completing a single ascent or pushing themselves to tackle all five.

Chestertons has proudly supported the event since 2023, helping to raise awareness, encourage participation and facilitate registrations through its Ocean Village office.

The 2026 MedSteps5 Challenge was another resounding success, with over 600 participants taking on the iconic Mediterranean Steps and raising in excess of £30,000 for Cancer Relief Gibraltar. As proud Gold Sponsor, Chestertons was delighted to support this much loved community event, with its Ocean Village team helping hundreds of participants with registrations, payments, wristbands and event information, all contributing to a wonderful day that brought Gibraltar together for a fantastic cause.

The funds raised help Cancer Relief Gibraltar continue providing invaluable services to individuals and families affected by cancer, including specialist nursing care, counselling, day services and practical and emotional support.

Registration officially opens on Monday 2nd November 2026, with two convenient ways to sign up:

• In person: Visit Chestertons Gibraltar, Ocean Village, Monday to Friday, between 9.00am and 4.30pm.

Previous events have attracted huge interest, with participant numbers capped in 2026, so we strongly encourage anyone wishing to take part to register as early as possible.

Whether you're a seasoned MedSteps participant, looking to beat your personal best or considering taking on the challenge for the first time, now is the perfect opportunity to commit to the challenge and start preparing.

Official 2027 MedSteps5 merchandise, including T-shirts and hoodies, is now available from Sprint Sports at Laguna Estate. Pre-ordered event T-shirts will be available for collection from Monday 1st February 2027, either at Sprint Sports or Chestertons in Ocean Village.

The MedSteps5 Challenge is about far more than reaching the summit. It is a celebration of Gibraltar's generosity, resilience and willingness to come together in support of those who need it most.
