Mike Nicholls - BSc (Hons), FCA
Mike owns the Chestertons estate agency business in Gibraltar, having previously been finance director of a Gibraltar based international property investment and development company.
Mike is a qualified chartered accountant (ex-KPMG) with over 25 years post qualification experience predominantly in the property, finance and marketing sectors. Mike has significant experience of property related transactions, property development, offshore tax planning, the raising of both debt and equity, and corporate finance.
Mike also manages a real estate investment consultancy and acts as a non-executive director of a variety of Gibraltar based companies.
Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Gibraltar Society of Accountants.
Mike is regularly consulted by the local media on Gibraltar property matters.
Paul moved to Gibraltar in 2017 with his wife and two daughters and settled in immediately. Loving the Gibraltarian ethos in terms of good manners and politeness.
Having over twenty five years experience in the UK managing Estate Agencies Paul was keen to see what was available in Gibraltar. After meeting the CEO Mike Nicholls on a number of occasions, it was quite clear that Chestertons was the only place for Paul. He loves the values and practices of the company in addition to the exciting ventures in the pipeline to take the company to the next level. In his last role, Paul had eleven combined sales and rentals offices with just over one hundred staff and he hopes to bring some of that experience to Chestertons in order to provide clients with a complete service whether they are buying, selling, renting either long or short term, investing or in commercial.
A lot of Paul’s spare time is taken up with family. His daughters love horse riding, netball, dancing and recently sailing. As for Paul, he is never happier than watching football, cricket or rugby plus playing the odd round of golf.
Director of Operations & Marketing
Lisa left the UK in 1999 with a background in Quality Management. After 4 years living in Gibraltar she moved to Spain where she became involved in property management and holiday rentals, successfully managing her own business for a number of years before moving back to Gibraltar. She first became involved in Chestertons with the design and production of the Chestertons Brochure, her involvement in the company grew and she joined the team full time in 2014.
Lisa uses her quality management experience to embed processes within the organisation in order to increase productivity and efficiency. She is also a key player in business strategy, co-ordinating the activities of the various departments to achieve organisational objectives. She is responsible for brand management and for delivering the company’s marketing strategy. Lisa is also a Certified EU GDPR Practitioner.
Outside of work Lisa enjoys travelling, reading, spending time with her family, does a spot of video editing and is not averse to the odd karaoke!
Group Finance Manager
Paul has worked within the legal profession for much of his career, leaving briefly to become a legal software trainer for a leading legal software house.
He left the UK in 2006 with his wife and family to relocate to Spain and worked for a law firm based in Marbella.
In 2010, Paul started his Gibraltar working life at Isolas, as their Finance Manager and did almost 11 years’ service with them.
He has just taken the leap of faith and has now left the legal profession to join Chestertons as Group Finance Manager.
In his spare time, Paul is a long suffering Norwich City FC fan and is also a keen cyclist.
Senior Sales Negotiator
After spending every summer visiting family in Gibraltar, Louis decided to leave his home town of Chichester in 2010 and move to Gibraltar permanently.
Having previously worked in both hospitality and marketing Louis joined the Chestertons team in 2013 in a junior support role. During his time at Chestertons he has gained considerable knowledge of the local property market as well as substantial experience dealing with clients, this has attributed to his progression to Sales Negotiator. Louis demonstrates enthusiasm, drive and commitment to Chestertons clients, whether it be first time buyers, buy to let investors or high net worth individuals.
An estate agent by day, a local celebrity by night, Louis co-hosts the local TV show ‘The Hub’ on GBC, a fun programme covering local events of the week. He is also player/director of a local football team ‘Bruno’s Magpies’
Senior Sales Negotiator
Lulu started her estate agency career in the UK in 1997 as a weekend viewing guide. She fell in love with the industry and how every day was different and in her own words she couldn’t imagine herself doing anything else.
She progressed from a junior negotiator to having the opportunity of opening a brand new office for Cubitt and West (part of Arun Estates, the largest independent agency in the south east of England), this role also enabled her to experience a variety of different market sectors - gaining a mass of experience, from a high-volume office in Northend, Portsmouth, to the stunningly beautiful Arundel and Emsworth in West Sussex.
Lulu and her family then embarked on their overseas adventure and instantly fell in love with Gibraltar, especially the wonderful community spirit. The diversity Lulu gained in her previous roles and her experience with the high end market sector, is already adding new, fresh and innovative ideas at Gibraltar’s largest estate agent, Chestertons.
Lulu stated “it’s a privilege to be working for Chestertons - who pride themselves on customer service and a pleasure to be working with driven passionate like-minded colleagues. I am proud to now be part of Chestertons’ success in Gibraltar, albeit I have an in built desire to make it even better.”
Elaine moved to Gibraltar in 2015 after living in Spain for 11 years with her family.
Before joining Chestertons, she had a varied career including supply management, finance and latterly, property management including short lets.
She is delighted to be part of the successful Chestertons team and prides herself on excellent customer service plus a ‘can do’ attitude which she applies to every aspect of her role.
When not at work, Elaine enjoys power walking around Gibraltars’ beautiful coastline embracing the wonderful views, history and nature that life on the Rock has to offer.
She loves to travel and always has her suitcase on standby.
Grainne moved to Gibraltar in 2005 after a successful and varied career inside the John Lewis Partnership.
After many years of arranging and hosting VIP events within the online gaming industry Grainne decided it was time to store her suitcase away and spend more time with her family.
Grainne has always been interested in property and is thrilled to be part of the Chestertons team. She is always ready for a new challenge and will constantly go that extra mile to ensure the highest standards of customer service.
Grainne enjoys reading, spa breaks and socialising with friends in her spare time.
Sales and Off-plan Administrator
Jonathan was born in Gibraltar and did the majority of his Primary Education in St Josephs School.
He then moved across the border to enrol in Sotogrande International School in order to complete his International Baccalaureate.
Shortly afterwards, in 2016, he met his partner and moved over to Dundee, Scotland in order to gain knowledge and experience in different working sectors. Having worked in many different industries, IGaming, Telecomm Sales and Customer service, Jonathan is eager to apply the skills he has gained to his new role at Chestertons.
Away from work, Jonathan enjoys socialising with friends, fishing and during the winter months he is an avid snowboarder.
Sales Support Administrator
Ben was born in the United Kingdom and has Mauritian roots which helps with the French based clients. Ben moved to the Costa del Sol in 2019.
He studied Product Design at Nottingham Trent University. Having come from product design degree, he uses his tech savvy skills to solve situations. Perfect for his role which requires him to know a lot about I.T.
In his free time, he like designing things, cooking and going to the gym. His dream is to own a classic car.
Head of Lettings
Jacky was born in Gibraltar and has served the Gibraltar property market since 2005, prior to which she worked at Credit Suisse. Jacky joined Chestertons Gibraltar in 2008.
As head of the residential lettings division, she manages Chestertons portfolio of properties dealing with landlords and tenants on a daily basis. She advises a number of Chestertons buy-to-let clients with her vast experience of the rental market. She has excellent customer service skills and a wealth of local knowledge. Furthermore, with a background in property management and accounts she is well placed to assist and advise those considering entering the rental market.
In her free time Jacky likes to spend time with her family and is a keen baker with a talent for creating the most wonderful cupcakes!
After numerous holidays to Spain to visit her parents, Nicola decided to relocate permanently in March 2005 with her husband and son.
Before working at Chestertons, she dedicated her time to being a full time mother. Nicola joined the team in 2011 on a part time basis in administration before moving into accounting on a full time basis. She is responsible for all the financial aspects of the business from collecting the monthly rents to paying the general office expenditure. Nicola is very approachable and always on hand to help with any enquiry.
In her free time she loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys running and cycling and supports her husband & son watching Norwich City Football Club as well as being an avid supporter of the Chestertons sponsored football team, Bruno’s Magpies.
Rebecca was passing through Gibraltar in 1991 and loved the place so much she decided to stay, she has lived on the Rock ever since. Rebecca worked in Trust & Company Management for seven years dealing with company formation and compliance. From 2009 to 2013 she was employed by the Fairhomes Group of Companies and was assistant to the project manager for the construction of Ocean Village Phase II. Her role involved quality control management, ensuring that each apartment was snagged and signed off then steering the handover of each property from developer to client. Post-completion Rebecca liaised with the owners during the guarantee period and was the point-of-contact for complaints and queries. In 2014 Rebecca changed direction and became Welfare Officer of the British Red Cross, Gibraltar. As the sole employee she managed the office, dealt with the ordering of mobility equipment, organised the accounts, the AGM and Flag Days and attended to patients in the community.
Rebecca enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving. Her ethos is that no request is too big or too small.
Rebecca is a published writer and poet and has won various literary prizes. Her first novel was released in 2016 and one of her plays was staged in 2015. She has penned many articles for the local press her main subjects being heritage & urban renewal in Gibraltar, social politics and football.
Lettings Office Coordinator
Rosie began her career in estate agency at just 19 as an apprentice sales negotiator and developed a passion for property. Keen to expand her knowledge further, she decided to transition into lettings and soon became Lettings Manager at a successful estate agency in Greater Manchester. After five years of working in the property industry in Manchester, Rosie craved the sun and a change of scenery so decided to follow in the footsteps of other family members and make the move to Gibraltar in December 2019. Rosie has since fallen in love with Gibraltar and is excited to progress her career even further at a highly regarded estate agents such as Chestertons.
Away from work, Rosie enjoys going to the gym, reading and socialising with her friends.
Assistant Property Manager
Donna moved from the UK to Gibraltar in 1996 with work, when the betting company she worked for opened a small office. She was only due to stay in Gibraltar for two years but after a successful 1998 World Cup, her employee moved their whole operation out of the UK to Gibraltar.
Donna undertook many diverse roles at her previous company. In 2015 she was made redundant and decided to take the to spend time with her husband and children.
In January 2020, Donna decided it was now time for a career change and joined the team at Chestertons.
In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and watching her children play rugby.
Trainee Lettings Negotiator
Nathan is a born and raised Gibraltarian who has spent his entire life in Gibraltar.
After completing his studies, Nathan began working at Suborn, where he discovered his love for customer service and client satisfaction.
Being a local allows Nathan to have a greater understanding of the Gibraltarian culture and locations of local properties, which has naturally led him to the real estate industry.
Executive PA to Mike Nicholls
Claire was born in Gibraltar but moved to the UK at an early age, returning to Gibraltar in 2008. She joined the Chestertons team in 2014.
It is said that behind every great Managing Director you’ll normally find a hard-working and efficient EA planning their life. As the first point of contact, Claire likes to maintain a strong professional and interpersonal relationship with clients and staff alike.
Claire is not only responsible for Mike’s day to day business life but she also supports the Chestertons team on the whole.
In her free time, Claire likes to spend time with family and friends and is an avid rugby supporter.
Cherrelle Elliott - BA
Cherrelle was born in the United Kingdom and moved to the Costa del Sol in 2013. She joined Chestertons in 2015 as sales and lettings coordinator.
Cherrelle is most likely the first person to meet and greet you whether by telephone, email or in person. Very personable, she sits at the front desk ensuring that all clients are promptly dealt with and introduced to the most appropriate member of the Chestertons staff. She coordinates viewings and listings ensuring at all times that clients are given a professional service.
In her free time Cherrelle likes to travel, pick lemons from her orchard and whip the sales team into shape.
Angela was born in Transylvania and after having lived and worked in London for over ten years, she moved to Spain in 2017 hoping to have a balanced lifestyle with plenty of sunshine.
She joined Chestertons after having worked at an online gaming company and then at a property management company, where she gained a wealth of experience in building management admin.
By the time she joined Chestertons, she had met and built up a relationship with almost the entire team.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, enjoys swimming and cycling and feeding the stray cats - being a passionate animal lover.
Amy is a born and raised Gibraltarian who has spent her entire life in Gibraltar. After finishing her studies, Amy started working for an automobile company. She is now seeking to broaden her horizons and believes joining Chestertons is the perfect opportunity. During her free time, Amy enjoys reading and working out. She also likes spending quality time with friends and family but what she truly adores is travelling and learning new cultures.
