Chestertons wins Outstanding Community Impact Award

Chestertons Gibraltar has been named the winner of the Outstanding Community Impact Award at the inaugural GibYellow Awards Gala 2026.

Held on Wednesday 1st July and broadcast live on GBC TV, the Gala brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, civic organisations, Government representatives and members of the public for an evening celebrating Gibraltar’s business community.

The awards were decided entirely by public vote, following thousands of nominations and votes cast over several months. This made the result particularly meaningful to the Chestertons team, as the recognition came directly from the community the business has served since establishing in Gibraltar in 2008.

Founder,  Mike Nicholls said:

“We were genuinely overwhelmed to hear Chestertons announced as the winner. Community involvement has always been an important part of who we are, so to receive this recognition, particularly through a public vote, means an enormous amount to the whole team.”

Chestertons was shortlisted alongside Gibtelecom and Saccone & Speed, both of which have made significant contributions to Gibraltar. The company is also grateful to the Rotary Club of Gibraltar for putting forward the original nomination.

Over the years, the Chestertons team has supported a wide range of local charities, community organisations, sporting initiatives and fundraising campaigns. Although these activities take place outside the company’s day to day property work, they have become an important part of its identity.

The Gala was attended by the Minister for Business, Gemma Arias Vasquez MP, and supported by the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses, Rotary Club Gibraltar, Round Table Gibraltar and Young Enterprise Gibraltar.

All net proceeds from the evening will be donated to Cancer Relief Gibraltar.

Chestertons would like to thank everyone who nominated, voted and supported the team throughout the awards process. This award belongs not only to the company, but also to the colleagues, clients, charity partners, Bitesize readers and members of the public who have supported its community work over the years.
