Chestertons Gibraltar is proud to sponsor the upcoming Football for Future Change tournament taking place on 15th November 2025 in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
Organised by the UK charity Dental Mavericks, this inspiring initiative will bring together 160 boys and girls for a day of sport, health, and hope. Alongside football matches, children will receive dental hygiene support and eye screenings, helping to combine the power of play with vital healthcare and education.
Our friend Tom Cawthorn, who is travelling to Ethiopia to assist with the project, explained:
“After the success of our children’s football projects in Morocco, we’ve teamed up with Dental Mavericks to bring this life-changing initiative to Bahir Dar, giving children the chance to play, learn, and receive essential care.”
Tom explains more about the tournament and its goals in his recent GBC interview: https://www.gbc.gi/news/football-tournament-brings-health-and-education-to-ethiopia
As proud supporters, we’re delighted to help make this event possible. Football has the ability to unite communities, build confidence, and create opportunities, values that resonate strongly with us at Chestertons.
“At Chestertons Gibraltar we believe in supporting initiatives that make a tangible difference,” said Paul Duck, Managing Director. “This tournament gives young people the chance to thrive, and we’re honoured to play a small part in that.”
We wish Tom all the best with this incredible initiative and look forward to sharing updates from Ethiopia soon.
