Chestertons is thrilled to announce its continued sponsorship of the Pirates Cricket Team, a vibrant and dynamic force in the cricketing community! As a company deeply rooted in community values, supporting local sports teams holds a special place in our hearts.
“Our commitment to the Pirates is a testament to our dedication to giving back to the community” explained MD Paul Duck, “being part of the Pirates journey is not just about sponsorship; it's about fostering community spirit and promoting the love of the game. We take immense pride in contributing to the growth and success of this talented team, and we're excited to see them excel in the ECN T10 Tournament. Last year they came out on top beating the Entertainers in a closely fought match, hopefully they will retain their title!”
Although they have lost a few key players due to work commitments and one or two to rival teams, The Pirates have made some exceptional signings over the winter and are confident they will fill the void of those who have moved elsewhere.
A few to watch out for from Pirates are the hard-hitting batting all-rounder Charlie Packard, a new signing who's recently moved over from England, the Gibraltarian international all-rounder Andy Reyes, evergreen spin bowler Richard Cunningham the tournaments second top wicket taker last time around and fast bowler George Sweeney making his local debut in this tournament.
The ECN tournament is now underway and we wish them the best of luck. The matches will be aired on Fancode TV in the Indian Subcontinent and broadcast live on the ECN's Youtube channel too. Here is a list of scheduled match times.
