In the first three months of 2020 the number of users accessing our website increased by 16% against the same period in 2019 and up 22% against the final quarter of 2019 according to the latest statistics from Google Analytics. It was also the best quarter on record. This partially reflects how well the Gibraltar economy was performing prior to the current pandemic and the impact of the Boris Bounce on the property market in Gibraltar, and demonstrates our on-going commitment to maximising exposure of our clients’ properties to a worldwide audience.
Amazingly, March was the third best month of the last 12 months in terms of number of users accessing the site and the second best for the number of times the site was accessed. The number of users was only 5% below that of March 2019 which was and remains our record month for website traffic.
Users from 84 different countries accessed the Chestertons.gi website in March alone. That’s an astonishing result given that for much of the month not many global citizens were planning on moving anywhere soon. In the first 3 months of the year users from 121 countries accessed the site. Gibraltar may be small and we may be a small cog within it, but we are super impressed with the worldwide interest in our website.
