The Gibraltar website for self-assessment of your possible coronavirus symptoms has now gone live.
 
The government is running a field test in Gibraltar to see how widespread the virus is and Gibraltar residents may be contacted by telephone.  If contacted, please participate.  Target is 400 random samples to add to those already taken in respect of persons with symptoms.

Today's press conference was hosted by the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo.

Key points:

• Expect lock down rules to continue for at least another week
• Gibraltar Regiment and Gibraltar Defence Police to assist the community effort to "stay home stay safe"
• Press conferences to change format next week, journalists to attend virtually
 
Guidelines for businesses seeking to avail themselves of support from government are now available. There are a number of businesses excluded from specific support for their employees (including estate agents!) so it is worth checking.  Based on representations from some excluded businesses, there will be a review.  So watch this space.
 
In other news, the Gibraltar / UK Double Tax Agreement has now come into force with effect from 24 March 2020 which is good news as it provides clarity for those individuals and / or businesses with a footprint in both Gibraltar and the UK.
