Childline volunteer Marie Carmen Lia with a West Ham shirt signed by all the team. The shirt was kindly donated by her nephew, Xavi Valero, a West Ham goalkeeping coach.
Following a fundraising auction, the successful bidder was keen West Ham supporter, Mike Nicholls of Chestertons.
Mike said “Following a season in which my team have reached a European cup final for the first time in nearly 50 years, I felt compelled to own this shirt, happy in the knowledge that Childline were to be the beneficiaries.”
And in return, everyone at Childline will be behind West Ham for the big game on Wednesday night. ‘Come on you Hammers!’
