Chestertons Proudly Supporting Young Talent in Gibraltar
At Chestertons Gibraltar, we believe in supporting the communities we are part of. Our sponsorship of The Sovereign Young Artist Competition 2026 reflects a continued commitment to investing in local talent and providing opportunities for young people to develop and showcase their skills.
The awards ceremony, delivered in collaboration with Gibraltar Cultural Services, brought together a wide range of emerging artists from across Gibraltar. The standard of work on display highlighted the creativity and effort being put in by young people across both age categories.
We were pleased to see strong participation across both categories, with winners including Aimee Linares, Amelie Romero, Sebastian Andlaw, Shelli Abudarham and Tyrone Vera recognised on the night. More importantly, the event as a whole provided a platform for young artists to gain exposure, confidence and recognition.
Sponsoring initiatives like this is an important part of how we contribute to the wider community. Encouraging creativity and supporting structured programmes helps ensure that young people have access to opportunities beyond the classroom.
The finalists’ exhibition remains open at the Growing Artists Programme until 24 April. We would encourage anyone with an interest in local art to visit and support the artists by viewing or purchasing their work.
We are proud to support initiatives that have a direct and positive impact on Gibraltar’s community and look forward to continuing our involvement in similar events in the future.
